U.S.M.D.A MARTIAL ARTS

Graphic Design / Print Design / Event Design

I’ve had the opportunity to work with U.S. Moo Do Academy, contributing to the development of their brand identity in a way that reflects their core teachings and values of loyalty and dedication. My work has included logos and refinements, signage, flyers, apparel, photography, and social media graphics—all designed to enhance their presence and engage their audience. Through a cohesive and visually impactful approach, I continue to support USMDA in effectively communicating its mission and strengthening its brand.

LOGO DESIGN

This logo seamlessly blends cultural heritage, martial arts tradition, and national identity. The stars and stripes within the Taegeuk symbol represent the Academy’s deep-rooted American influence, while the Korean characters pay homage to the Academy’s foundation in Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo. The circular shape conveys unity and balance, reinforcing the school’s commitment to "Il Shim" (One Heart)—the guiding philosophy of training both body and mind. The combination of these elements embodies the Academy’s mission: to develop strong, mindful, and courageous martial artists while honoring and continuing the legacy of Korean martial arts.

CHARACTER DESIGN

These martial arts characters were designed for versatile use across various mediums, including the Academy’s programs, print materials, and promotional content. Among them, the Toby the Turtle characters were created for the children’s program. In Korean culture, turtles are used as symbols of resilience, wisdom, and perseverance—core values that are embedded into the Academy’s teachings.
